| For the slide mechanism I eventually settled on using Bi-fold door tracks, and the spring loaded plastic wheels that come with them. The spring loaded wheels compensated for any variation in the distance from the horizontal rail to the track, so it slides very freely. I also shimmed the track slightly to make it more perpendicular to the floor. |
